Recipe Steps

1. Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Make Sesame Grits

In a medium saucepan, combine sesame seeds, coconut milk, and water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes or until the mixture has thickened slightly.

3. Prepare Miso Glaze Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, and rice vinegar until smooth.

4. Season Salmon Fillets

Season salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and grated ginger.

5. Bake Salmon Fillets

Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with toasted sesame oil. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.

6. Glaze with Miso Sauce

Brush the miso glaze sauce over the baked salmon fillets during the last 2 minutes of cooking.

7. Serve with Sesame Grits

Serve the glazed salmon with sesame grits, garnished with chopped scallions and toasted sesame seeds.
