Ceviche de Camarones Sauce (Lime Juice Marinade)
Mix the following:
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
Recipe Steps
1. Marinate Shrimp
In a large bowl, combine shrimp, lime juice marinade, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the shrimp to marinate.
2. Prepare Garnishes and Toppings
Slice the red onion, seed and chop the bell peppers, and dice the tomato.
3. Combine Ingredients
Remove the shrimp from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. In a separate bowl, combine the chopped onions, bell peppers, diced tomatoes, and lime juice. Add the marinated shrimp to the bowl with the garnishes and toss gently to combine.
4. Season and Serve
Season the ceviche with salt to taste and serve immediately, garnished with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime juice on the side.
Optional: Variation Name - Spicy Ceviche de Camarones
